Blinder Seeking More U.S. Sales

Staff -- TWICE, 6/11/2001

DENMARK — Blinder International, which sells the M-10 Laser Jammer, said it expects to set up a distributor in the United States by August.

The company has sold more than 10,000 units in the U.S. thus far through small independent distributors, according to managing director Torben Andersen.

"We haven't decided if we will set up our own distribution office or select one large distributor. Either way, we will establish a U.S. office at the latest in August," he said. The company also expects by early June to publish a toll-free number in the United States. that will be staffed 24 hours a day. Later this year, it is planning to release a new Laser Jammer model.

The current Blinder M-10 Twin Laser Jammer notifies the user when laser is in use and prohibits laser guns from obtaining a speed reading. It comes with two transmitters, which are mounted in the grill of the vehicle and has a stealth function so the police will not know the gun has been jammed, said the company. Suggested retail price for the unit is $295.
