Kodak, Kmart Ink Online Services Deal

Staff -- TWICE, 5/21/2001

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Kodak announced that it has signed an agreement to launch a co-branded Kodak Picture Center Online service at Kmart's www.bluelight.com.

The companies will provide photography products and services both in-store and online to the more than 30 million people who shop each week at Kmart's 2,100-plus stores.

Using Kodak's infrastructure, services and media, Kmart customers who want to share and enhance their pictures online will be able to have their film digitized and uploaded directly to the Kodak Picture Center Online at BlueLight.com by checking one box on their photofinishing envelope.

Through Kodak Picture Center Online, BlueLight.com also will offer customers a variety of photography products and services only available online.

The Kodak Picture Center Online will be featured in the Photo Zone area of BlueLight.com, offering customers Kodak products and photography services powered by Print@Kodak service. Kodak's applications will allow customers to manage, edit and share their pictures.

"This agreement is an extension of Kodak's digital strategy to deliver infrastructure, services and media to our key retail customers such as Kmart," said Scott Auer, Vice President, Digital Products and Services, Consumer Imaging, Eastman Kodak Company.
