New Remote Starters Added To Bulldog Line

Staff -- TWICE, 5/7/2001

WINTERSVILLE, OHIO — JBS Technologies, which sells Bulldog security products, is offering several new remote starter products and is intensifying its focus on the installer aftermarket. While the majority of JBS' business is aimed at the do-it-yourself installer, the company says it will be adding more installer-aimed products in the future and is currently beefing up technical support and hiring manufacturer representatives to pursue the installer specialist market, said VP of sales and marketing Al Kovac.

Among the current new products are several available in do-it-yourself and installer packages. These include a new RS-85 that integrates with most factory installed keyless entry systems and is designed to operate with other manufacturer's remote transmitters. It comes with an output for parking lot confirmation, programmed 15 minute run time and a tachless circuit for easy installation. It also has a pit stop feature that allows the driver to exit the vehicle with the key and leave the engine running for a brief period. Suggested retail price is $139.

A similar product is the RS-82, which has a two-button, extended-range transmitter and carries a $129 suggested retail price. It does not integrate with factory keyless entry systems.

Also available in both installer and do-it-yourself packages is the KE-150 remote keyless entry system with an extended range of 250 feet to 400 feet. It comes with onboard relays, a starter immobilizer and separate outputs for optional parking light confirmation, remote start or trunk release, as well as color coded and plug-in harnesses and remote transmitter. The transmitter has a slide cover for protection. Suggested retail price is $99.95.
