H20 Audio Intros Waterproof iPod Armbands

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 8/12/2008 11:47:00 AM

San Diego — H2O Audio, a manufacturer of wearable iPod accessories, has introduced a line of waterproof MP3 player protection.

H20 Audio's Amphibx armband
The Amphibx armband is billed by the company as the first fully integrated, wearable, watersports music solution to support a variety of products. Its ergonomic shape is constructed of “hybrid materials” that are meant to comfortably grip and hold through any “watersport stresses,” said the company.

It can be used with almost any MP3 player or music phone, according to H20 Audio.

Features include the company’s trademarked LatchTight locking closure for a watertight secure seal, a ClearTouch Window that enables complete device operation, a SealTight connector that’s said to be compatible with all standard 3.5mm headphones, and Dual Flex Rings for a comfortable fit.

The Amphibx can be used up to 12 feet under water.

Suggested retail is $69.99 for a medium and $79.99 for a large.
