ZVUE Spirit To Sell At Wal-Mart

San Francisco — ZVUE announced its Spirit portable media player will be sold through Wal-Mart during the Fourth of July promotional period.

The Spirit will be available in 3,600 Wal-Mart stores at a retail price of $34.88 and ships preloaded with 15 songs from Universal Music, including “I Feel Good” by James Brown, “Back in The U.S.A.” by Chuck Berry, and “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Other ZVUE media players have sold through Wal-Mart.

In addition to offering mass-market media players, ZVUE owns numerous online user-generated video sites and HandHeld Entertainment.
