Creative Launches Vado Video Camera

MILPITAS, CALIF. — Creative announced a compact video camera last week designed to compete with the popular Flip from Pure Digital.
The Vado Pocket Video Cam sports a built-in USB connector, 2GB worth of internal memory, a 2-inch color LCD and records VGA resolution video. It uses removable rechargeable batteries with up to two hours of battery life and features built-in software for uploading videos to YouTube and Photobucket.
For private online sharing, the camcorder can also upload videos to Box.net, where videos can be stored and viewed by friends and family.
The Vado is shipping now in silver and pink for $99.99.
Creative will also offer several accessories direct through its Web site for the camera, including a pouch for $14.99, spare batteries for $14.99, a power adapter/charging station for $29.99 and an A/V cable for $9.99.
