ADI Offers Hitachi TVs

Melville, N.Y — ADI has entered an agreement with Hitachi to offer its home theater displays, providing dealers access to Hitachi's line of flat-panel televisions, including plasma display panels (PDP) and LCD flat panels.

In particular, ADI will distribute Hitachi's Ultravision series of plasma HDTVs and LCD HDTVs and Hitachi's new Ultra Thin PDPs and LCDs.

Volutone Expands Pioneer, LG Dist.

Simi Valley, Calif. — Volutone will now distribute Pioneer car products in the Clark County, Nevada, territory, including Las Vegas. According to the distributor, it showed Pioneer's new lineup of navigation units at four of its seven locations during last month's Volutone Mobile Electronics Expo.

Separately, Volutone has also announced it will distribute LG products in California, Hawaii and northern Nevada.

Cherry Elect. Applauds Ingram Micro

Carlsbad, Calif. — Ingram Micro's data capture and point-of-sale division was named the 2007 North American Distributor of the Year by Cherry Electrical Products.

Sennheiser Salutes Jenne

Old Lyme, Conn. — The U.S. subsidiary of Sennheiser named Jenne its 2007 Distributor of the Year. To express its thanks, Sennheiser Electronic said it will make a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization in the name of Jenne to support breast cancer research.

Wynit Expands Offerings

Syracuse, N.Y. — Wynit has enhanced its security and ID technologies offerings with the addition of products from HD Global.

On the imaging side, the distributor also recently expanded its Olympus product offerings with the addition of the new Evolt E-420 digital SLR.

Separately, it also recently agreed to carry Wolverine Data products.

Capitol Sales Adds SolaraHome

St. Paul, Minn. — Capitol Sales has been named the authorized distributor of SolaraHome's line of home theater seating products.

Separately, the company was also selected as Mitek's exclusive national distributor of its Musica speaker line.

SED Partners With Vivitar

Atlanta — SED International has entered a distribution agreement with Vivitar to supply the vendor's line of ViviCam digital cameras and video recorders to its customer base.

DBL To Distribute Haier TVs, Nokia Unlocked Mobile Phones

Scottsdale, Ariz. — DBL Distributing has signed on to market and distribute Haier televisions.

As part of the agreement, DBL will market Haier's HL42E 1080p LCD TV and the HLS19W 19-inch LCD/DVD combo.

The company's Haier TV offerings will be available in its spring catalog.

In other DBL news, the distributor has also added Nokia unlocked mobile devices to its lineup; these products will also appear in its spring catalog.

Digitek Adds Iogear

Dulles, Va. — Digitek has added Iogear products to its line card. Jim Labonte, Digitek's national sales manager, said he believes Iogear's computer connectivity solutions will be "a great complement to Digitek's already extensive list of products."

Electronics Lane To Host Consumer Electronics Expo 2008

Dallas — Electronics Lane, a member of The EDGE Distributors Group, along with Electronics Lane Mobile, Southwest Electronics and Sunbelt Distributing, will host the Consumer Electronics Expo 2008 at the Embassy Suites Dallas-Frisco Hotel, Convention Center & Spa in Frisco, Texas from May 31 through June 1. The event will offer dealers seminars, training sessions, access to factory representatives, special show prices and an exhibition of products from more than 75 manufacturers.

PMA/PGW Revamps Educational Offering

Lutz, Fla. — Perpetual Marketing Associates, PGW Distribution (PMA/PGW) has revamped its educational program, now in its fifth year. This year's theme is "Elevate Your Knowledge" and, according to a release, the first two sessions took place last month, featuring a keynote by David Chase of The Training Alliance among other highlights.

ArchBrook Laguna Hosts Dealer Show

Carlstads, N.J. — ArchBrook Laguna hosted its annual Dealer Show at the Sheraton Meadowlands here May 5-7.

The show featured product from more than 30 brands including Fuji, Tom Tom, Samsung, Olympus and Garmin. More than 200 resellers were expected to attend.
