By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 4/28/2008 2:25:00 PM

Long Beach, Calif. — Kenwood and Garmin in May will launch a radio campaign promoting a $100 rebate on Kenwood’s in-dash navigation devices that use Garmin navigation technology.

Starting May 5 through Sept. 30, a campaign touting “Entertainment by Kenwood, Guidance by Garmin” will air in 20 major markets during morning and evening drive-times. The spots will announce a $100 in-store rebate on the purchase of Kenwood in-dash navigation models DNX8120, DNX7120, DNX5120, PNAV-512 and KNA-G510 models, which range in price from $1,000 to $1,600

Kenwood is the exclusive mobile electronics company to use Garmin navigation technology, said Kenwood consumer electronics senior VP, Keith Lehmann.

The campaign will include dealer kits for in-store merchandising, radio, newspaper and Internet advertising.

A permanent “micro-Website” devoted to Kenwood/Garmin products will also go live in May.
