LOWEPRO LAUNCHES TECHNOLOGY BACKPACKS

SEBASTOPOL, CALIF. — Lowepro is spotlighting its new Fastpack line of backpacks designed for technology enthusiasts. The Fastpack backpack's triple-compartment design provides a durable and lightweight carrying solution for a digital-SLR camera, extra lenses or flash units, a notebook computer, plus accessories and personal gear.

The Fastpack's 180-degree access panel is designed to make loading and retrieving camera equipment quick and easy, and adjustable dividers enable its compartment to be customized to fit different combinations of gear. The backpack also features a snap-close security flap and side-entry compartment for photo equipment, outer accessory pockets and harness pocket for MP3 player or cellphone. It comes in three colors and four models, including two with an additional compartment with side access to a notebook computer.

Also on exhibit are Lowepro's new Tasca series of colorful sleeves for personal electronics — including ultra-compact digital cameras, MP3 players, mobile phones, smartphones and PDAs — and a new Spectrum series of compact camera pouches specifically designed for today's digital point-and-shoot photographers.
