Petra To Stay The Course Through Shaky Economy

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/7/2008

EDMOND, OKLA. — The nation's recent economic troubles aren't getting Petra Industries' founder and president Bill Stewart down.

"Our plan for this year is to focus on helping our retailers stay successful. Maintaining better margins while staying competitive is a constant battle for retailers. Petra's business model was built around solving this problem," he recently told TWICE.

Stewart said his company will continue to specialize in consumer electronics accessories, a category which he said is an imperative part of driving up margin in electronics sales.

"We are an accessory house, and we will continue to build our business in this area because we know that our success is dependent on the success of our retailers," Stewart said.
