Vizio Expands Executive Team

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 3/24/2008 7:41:00 AM

Irvine, Calif. — Vizio formally disclosed it has expanded its organizational structure with five executive appointments in recent months in an effort to meet the demands of its growing distribution base.

The company said the additions were made to “meet the anticipated growth and demands of new customers and partners throughout the world in 2008 while continuing the brand’s mission of expanding the consumer electronics market through efficiency and value.”

In October, the company added Rob L. Brinkman as operations VP, with responsibility for day-to-day operations for Vizio’s forward logistics, customer service and technical support. Brinkman worked with Princeton Digital from 2006 until the company licensed the brand to another supplier. From 2002 to 2003 he was Micro Warehouse executive VP, responsible for product marketing, purchasing and distribution.

At the same time the company added Eunice Tseng as management information systems VP, responsible for the implementation of computer accounting systems and supervising accounting departments. She will “ensure Vizio's internal infrastructure can handle the expected increase in worldwide sales and the addition of new customers and business partners,” the company said. Previously, Tseng was international accounting manager at Broadcom and has also served as the finance director for Mag Innovision.

In November, John Schindler was named new products VP, after spending the previous 12 years with Gateway, where he handled product management for the company's $3 billion in annual revenue, product marketing and the development of wireless home networking programs.

In February, Kyle Wescoat was named Vizio’s chief financial officer and VP. He will be responsible for Vizio's financial function as it expands into new markets. Wescoat has 25 years of experience as a senior administrative executive and chief financial officer with several companies, including Vans and Cherokee. Most recently, he was the chief administrative officer for the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.

Also added in February was John Morriss, who becomes Vizo’s partner management VP. He brings more than 22 years of experience in building market share, driving revenues and delivering profits in worldwide markets for high-tech companies, Vizio said. Previously, he was Hewlett-Packard displays business unit VP and general manager.
