By Staff -- TWICE, 2/11/2008

CALGARY, CANADA — Peapod Toys recently began shipping its SweetPea3 MP3 player. The player is said to be aimed at "infants, toddlers and school-age children."

Music is uploaded via USB connection to a PC or Mac. The device offers 256MB of flash memory, which the company said allows it to store more than four hours of WMA music encoded at 128kbps.

The player runs on a single AA battery and it comes with a power adapter for extended play.

The SweetPea3 comes preloaded with songs from Susie Tallman and stories from Jim Weiss. The product carries a suggested retail of $89.95.
