By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 2/11/2008

ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Home Entertainment Source (HES), the A/V specialty division of the Brand Source buying group, has elected Marvin Electronics principal Stuart Schuster as its new president.

In addition, David Pidgeon, co-principal of Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, was elected to HES' board of directors. Retaining their board seats are former HES president Bob Cole of World Wide Stereo, Vance Pflanz of Pflanz Electronics, Bill Janka of Mission Audio Video, Marty Hayse of Dennis Sage Home Entertainment and Andy Kersey of Hamlin & Kersey.

Schuster has served Marvin Electronics in various capacities since 1970 and succeeded his father Marvin as owner of the company in 1996. Pidgeon has served as president of Starpower since the company's inception in 1995.

In other HES news, the group has entered into agreements with several new suppliers, including Anthem and Panamax/Furman, which will provide factory direct programs, and DVDO and Leviton, which will be part of the group's two-year-old Custom Warehouse distribution program.
