Chief UnveilsPowered Ceiling Mount

Minneapolis — Chief Manufacturing has added a powered ceiling mount to it line of automated flat-panel TV and projector mounting products. The Cinematic CM2C40 automated ceiling lift is designed for flat-panel TVs up to 61 inches and weighing a maximum of 190 pounds. It has an up/down range of 40 inches. Customizable store and show positions allow fine-tuning for any installation, and the lift design eliminates flat-panel TV width constraints, Chief said. The lift operates at more than 2 inches per second using Chief's Auto Drive gliding system and has a cable-management system. It retails for $2,999 and is available now.

Mophie Juice Pack Gives iPhone Extra Life

Paw Paw, Mich. — mStation recently introduced the Mophie Juice Pack, a power product designed to give iPhone and iPod Touch users some much-welcomed battery life.

The Juice Pack features a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, an integrated four-LED charge-status indicator, and a pass-through dock connector. It provides an additional eight hours of talktime, 250 hours of standby time, six hours of Internet time, seven hours of video playback and 24 hours of audio playback.

It has a $99.99 suggested retail and will be available in early December, said the company. An iPod Touch model will be available in January 2008.

Adesso Introduces Tru-Form Keyboard

Walnut, Calif. — Adesso has begun shipping its newest Tru-Form Pro ergonomic PC keyboard.

Featuring a contoured, split-key design for comfort, the Tru-Form Pro (PCK-308UB) is equipped with the company's proprietary Glidepoint touchpad that includes left and right mouse buttons. The touchpad allows a user to navigate, scroll, zoom, access files and enter data with a light touch of the finger, the company said, eliminating the need for a mouse.

The PCK-308UB features ergonomic design and eight hot keys. The split, gently sloped shape encourages natural hand, wrist and forearm position, Adesso said. In addition, the keyboard includes a built-in wrist support and a split spacebar. It is available now with a suggested retail of $79.99.

Honeywell Publishes A/V Accessories Sourcebook

Pleasant Prairie, Wisc. — Honeywell announced the release of its Genesis Crystal Series A/V Sourcebook. Updated with many new products, the comprehensive, four-color catalog provides CE installers with one-step access to information on Honeywell bulk and pre-terminated home theater cables and accessories.

Expanded coverage in the Sourcebook is devoted to Honeywell HDMI connectivity solutions, including HDMI cables featuring the company's CURxE Lighttechnology that automatically corrects corrupt data that would otherwise degrade picture quality. Also included is information for better understanding how HDMI cables are made, why eye pattern tests are important, and how advancements in HD create greater bandwidth demands on HDMI cables. In addition, the catalog details Honeywell's new HDMI testers, restorers, switchers and HDMI-to-CAT-5 converters.
