By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 12/3/2007

FREMONT, CALIF. — Envision Peripherals (EPI) unveiled last week its new Envision-branded "Omni Series" line of high-performance LCD TVs, including the 26-inch, 32-inch and 42-inch screen sizes

Each of the models features high definition (1,366 by 768 pixel) resolution, 150-degree-plus viewing angles and an 8ms response time. All models also offer built-in ATSC and digital NTSC clear-QAM tuners.

Each model is designed for multiple connectivity options, allowing for simultaneous connection of multiple A/V sources including PCs.

Standard features include a color-coded, multifunction remote; built-in speakers; headphone output; and an all-digital S/PDIF interface that is compatible with most surround sound set-ups to ensure vivid sound delivery of movies, video games and television programs.

Each new unit is equipped with multiple picture mode with options including normal, zoom, wide and cinema. Other settings include auto program, menu language, closed caption, sleep timer and V-Chip parental control.

The design features a glossy black finish cabinet, crafted to be easily mounted on the wall at home or in the office.

"Envision's new HDTV's are the perfect complement to any home or office setting," stated Michael Lien, Envision North America brand sales GM. "With a combination of sleek sophistication, remarkable picture and sound quality and total ease of use, the Omni Series TVs are the perfect gifts for someone seeking the ultimate theater experience."

Highlighting the line is the 42-inch Envision L42W761 (shipping now at $999 suggested retail), which features a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, and two HDMI inputs.

The 26- ($479) and 32-inch ($649) models each feature one HDMI input, and contrast ratios are listed at 800:1 and 1,500:1, respectively.
