By Colleen Bohen -- TWICE, 12/3/2007

RICHMOND, VA. — Circuit City has partnered with Kodak to launch the "Find the Next Firedog" photo contest to find a new dog to be the face of the retailer's customer support service.

According to a release, the winning canine will star in a TV commercial and the dog's owner will get to choose a local animal shelter to which a $50,000 donation will be made. The company also said it is planning additional donations, up to $120,000 in total, to local animal rescue organizations across the country.

Customers can submit photos of their dog to www.firedog.com/kodak through Dec. 8. On Jan. 6, the public will be invited to cast their vote online for their favorite of the 20 finalists.
