eMachines Rolls Out Holiday Line

By Doug Olenick -- TWICE, 11/5/2007

IRVINE, CALIF. — Gateway last month completed its holiday product rollout with the introduction of its eMachines-branded desktops.

In addition to the two new PCs, eMachines will offer two new LCD monitors.

Available immediately are the T5234 and T3626 with respective suggested retails of $434 and $349, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The T5234 is powered by an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ processor with 64-bit processing, 2.1GHz speed and 512MB of L2 cache. Other features include 1GB of DDR2 memory (expandable to 2GB); a 320GB hard drive; multiformat, dual-layer DVD burner; NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE integrated graphics; and Windows Vista Home Premium.

The Y3626 runs on an AMD Sempron 3800+ processor, running at 2.2GHz with 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive and the same graphics and DVD burner as the T53234.

eMachines monitor offerings come in 17W-inch and 19W-inch screen sizes with suggested retails of $189 and $229, respectively.

These introductions follow the company's rollout of its Gateway-branded notebooks and desktops earlier this month.
