SAN FRANCISCO — WaterField Designs introduced three cases for the newest iPods, including a jacket that protects the device from key and coin scratches when in a user's pocket.
Each of these cases was designed for the iPod Touch, Classic and Nano.
The iPod Suede jacket is made of Ultra-suede, and it doubles as a screen cleaner, according to WaterField. The jackets have suggested retails ranging from $5 to $9, and they are available in black.
WaterField also announced the iPod Smart case, which measures less than 1 inch thick and features a multilayered padding system that combines a high-impact, rigid insert with a soft Ultra-suede liner. It comes in six colors and is available in three styles: slip (for pocket), flap (for attaching to a strap) and clip (for attaching to a belt). Suggested retails range from $29 to $39.
The iPod Travel case is designed to keep the iPod and its accessories together and "tangle-free," said the company. It offers custom-sized, padded, interior compartments and self-locking zippers. The case comes in three sizes and six colors for suggested retails ranging from $35 to $39.
All are currently available.
