HEATHROW, FLA. — Dual is introducing two of the lowest-cost CD receivers to offer built-in HD-Radio reception.
The Dual XHD6425 and XHD6420 are each slated to carry a street price of less than $150 when they begin shipping this week.
The top-end XHD6425 allows optional Bluetooth for hands-free calling, full-speed USB connection and a front-panel auxiliary input for use with a portable music player. It also has two preamp outputs for additional amplifiers.
Both units display HD-Radio multicast station call outs and all meta tag information.
The Dual units join a current low cost JVC CD receiver with built-in HD radio at a suggested retail of $199. Called the KD-HDR1, the JVC unit is iPod and satellite radio ready.
