NuVision Bows Control Line

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 9/6/2007 10:52:00 AM

Denver — NuVision U.S. has released a new line of control products designed to significantly speed the installation of NuVision televisions and other A/V components. NuVision is featuring the new line here at CEDIA Expo in booth 1038.

The line consists of three NuVision-branded and 18 NuWire-branded universal control accessories. They are priced at suggested retails from $7.99 to $199. The modules connect via RJ-45 to allow bi-directional IR and RS232 serial command to other connected A/V components. They work with NuVision or any IR-controlled A/V component with an IR sensor or 3.5mm IR inputs.

“NuVision is pleased to be able to offer these two lines of control products,” said Scott Deley, CEO. “The NuVision-branded models are designed to take advantage of our NuVision televisions’ NuControl RS-232 and IR pass-through control port. Simply hook-up one of the control modules to the display via CAT-5e and then connect up to five of our IR emitters to the module to create an instant IR control network for your home theater components. No IR sensors are needed since the NuVision TV acts as the system IR receiver.”
