Circuit City Hosts Online Madden Forum

By Alan Wolf -- TWICE, 8/20/2007

RICHMOND, VA. — Circuit City was slated to host a live online forum last week featuring Madden NFL '08 cover athlete Vince Young to help launch the much-anticipated video game.

The exclusive forum, co-sponsored by the title's developer and publisher EA Sports, was scheduled be held Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST at www.circuitcity.com, one day after Madden NFL '08 went on sale nationwide. The forum was designed to allow gamers and football fans to interact with the acclaimed quarterback.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to be teaming with Vince Young and EA Sports for this unique live event," said George Clark, Jr., Circuit City's multichannel sales executive VP. "Gamers and football fans alike will jump at the opportunity to communicate with Vince."

The Vince Young event was the latest in a series of live online forums hosted by Circuit City to provide consumers with access to experts and celebrities, the retailer said. Other recent Circuit City forums have featured luminaries from the worlds of video gaming, computing and photography.
