Adesso Ships Touchpad

WALNUT, CALIF. — Adesso is shipping the newest addition to its touchpad family, the Browser Cat touchpad.
The mouse alternative features intelligent software that can be can personalized, one-touch scroll and zoom, and no moving parts to clean, according to Adesso.
Unlike a mouse or trackball, the touchpad requires little arm and wrist motion and no finger pressure, the company stressed.
The Browser Cat (ATP-400UB) has a an advanced driver that allows horizontal scrolling, zooming in and out and tapping adjustment. A user glides his finger over the smooth surface of the pad and taps it or clicks the buttons to perform all cursor-movement functions.
It features a tilt stand for comfort and works with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME and 98.
The Browser Cat is available at $39.99 with PS/2 connection and $49.95 with USB connection.
