Microsoft's founder Bill Gates will once again kick off the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with his traditional pre-show keynote address on Jan. 6, 2008, according to show producer the Consumer Electronics Association. Gates will be joined by Toshihiro Sakamoto, president, Panasonic AVC Networks and Paul Otellini, Intel's CEO who will speak on Jan. 7, the opening day of CES. All CES keynotes will take place in the Venetian Hotel's Palazzo Ballroom ... Lenny Paul, most recently manager of the Polaroid and Sunbeam brands for Petters Consumer Brands, has been named Almo's new eastern division sales manager … Don Bouchard, Ultralink/XLO Products' executive VP, has been named to the Consumer Electronics Association's audio division board ... Michael Stein, research director of Russound, named research and technology senior director ... Daniel Valade appointed national sales manager with Alphasonic ... James Spencer, former CFO, secretary and treasurer of Allion Healthcare, joins iBiquity Digitial as senior VP/CFO.
