OXNARD, CALIF. — Realm, a new high-end car audio company founded and financially backed by Scosche, has begun shipping amplifiers and speakers.
First introduced in January at International CES, Realm is headed by Scosche executives Kas Alves and Trevor Kaplan. The company said it is using "old fashioned" car audio strategies for the line in creating "a very supportive structure for a niche product with dealer support and training, location exclusives and high profitability," according to Kaplan, Scosche marketing administrator and marketing executive for Realm.
The company is currently assembling a force of outside reps and will also use internal reps that are distinct from the Scosche sales team, said Kaplan. The company hopes to sell to 200 dealers in the first year.
The line claims audiophile quality and a focus on sound quality. It includes component speakers in 5.25- and 6.5-inch sizes at $579 and $599. It also offers one 6.5-inch coaxial speaker at $349 ; seven amplifiers from $270 to $699; and subwoofers in 10-, 12- and 15-inch sizes from $309 to $399.
