Almo Kicks Off New Category

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/18/2007

PHILADELPHIA — Almo has added a new category to its mostly large-format product lineup and will begin carrying high-end accessories for CE components. The distributor entered that arena through a recently inked deal with Monster Cable to distribute its A/V cables throughout the United States.

"This is more than just expanding our line card," said Almo president Warren Chaiken. "Our ultimate goal is to ensure our dealers success. As CE margins continue to erode, our dealers are in need of best-in-class name brands that boost their add-on sales opportunities and their bottom line."

The addition of Monster Cable complements recent additions from Peerless Mounts, the distributor said. Head Monster Noel Lee was scheduled to address the troops at Almo's recent national sales meeting.

In other news, Almo has also entered a partnership with TTE to distribute its RCA-brand televisions, including the recently introduced high-performance LCD models.

The new products will be on display for customers at all of Almo's Consumer Electronic and Appliance Expos being held nationwide.
