Petra Partners With Polk

Edmond, Okla. — Petra Industries has teamed with Polk Audio to distribute its mobile audio products in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota.

Audio America Teams With BreatheAudio

Riviera Beach, Fla. — Audio America, an A/V electronics distributor, has entered a distribution agreement with Hebron, Ky.-based BreatheAudio. Audio America will offer the manufacturer's full line of whole home audio systems, speakers and accessories to the Florida market.

In other news, the distributor has also broken ground on a 110,000 square foot warehouse facility in Palm Beach County so that it can better serve its growing customer base.

BDI-Laguna Adds CTA

Carlstadt, N.J. — BDI-Laguna has added CTA Digital digital photo frames to its product lineup. The distributor will carry 15-inch and 7-inch frames and heart shaped picture frame necklaces.

D&H Ramps Up Distributed Audio

Harrisburg, Pa. — D&H Distributing is supporting its distributed audio category with a spate of new products and vendor partners, in a move that the company says is helping to familiarize its customers with an escalating trend toward home-based streaming media.

The company will partner with Yamaha to offer its MusicCAST line of audio servers, clients, control systems and speakers. D&H will also carry Philip's Streamium system, and multiroom audio products from Russound.

Edge Hosts Dealers

Seattle — The 14-member Edge Distributor Group recently held a series of events that it says allowed it to reach more than 850 dealers.

Its Planar and Furman Sound product road show visited 13 states between January and March 2007. According to the group, a total of more than 450 dealers received product training and information on flat and projection display technologies, projector installation and more.

The group's Texas-based member Electronics Lane also co-sponsored The Consumer Electronics Expo 2007 with Sunbelt Associates & Distributing and Southwest Electronix. The event, held March 31-April 1 in Dallas, gave more than 400 dealers the chance to view exhibits from over 50 manufacturers and to attend a series of seminars and product trainings.
