b2 Intros 'Wassup' iPod Speakers

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 6/4/2007

LIVINGSTON, N.J. — b2, a division of Blue Box International recently announced the debut of Wassup, a dancing speaker that is designed to be compatible with any iPod or MP3 player.

The Wassup resembles a small oval-shaped robot, with legs and ears, "giving it the impression of a futuristic looking rabbit," said the company in a release.

Wassup is sound activated with built-in melodies and dancing speaker and is available in silver, blue, red and black. It is scheduled to reach store shelves in July for a $25 suggested retail.

Also new from the company is an updated line of miLites iPod covers. miLites are used by holding the cover by the sensor switches, making it will light up and flash in a variety of patterns. Each has a location to attach a neck strap (not included), and they have their own replaceable power source so they don't drain any power from an iPod, according to the company.

miLites covers are currently available for first- and second-generation iPod nanos, as well as the 30GB and 60GB video iPods. They have a $20 suggested retail.
