Partsearch Signs Deal With NSA

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/17/2007 1:11:00 PM

New York — Partsearch Technologies, a leading provider of replacement parts and accessories, has signed an agreement to provide service parts solutions to National Service Alliance (NSA), one of the country’s largest networks of service providers for consumer electronics.

The agreement will provide NSA with a single source to access and order service parts for its service providers nationwide. Centralizing the requests and ordering of parts for technicians will improve the repair process and experience for the technicians, consumers and service provider network, the parties said.

Under the agreement, field service technicians in and out of NSA’s network will go to NSA with part information and requests. NSA, after receiving the part requests from the field, interfaces directly with Partsearch, which leverages its extensive parts catalog and supply chain processes to find, order, ship and track the part. Orders are placed through Partsearch, billed to NSA, and the part is drop-shipped to the technician’s location so the repair can be completed on-site.

According to NSA president, Randy Whitehead, improving supply chain efficiencies is critical to success. “Working with a partner like Partsearch, and leveraging their extensive parts expertise, data, and processes, will allow us to improve the efficiencies and productivity of our service network partners. This will enable us to provide consumers with a positive repair experience.”

Glenn Laumeister, chairman and CEO of Partsearch Technologies added, “NSA is an industry leader in the service field, and we are thrilled to be working with them as they expand their business. We are seeing more and more demand for parts management in the service community and we look forward to continuing to deliver solutions that improve efficiencies and directly impact the bottom line.”

Partsearch, founded in 2001, is a leading replacement parts platform for consumer durable goods. Serving major retailers, warranty administrators and service organizations, Partsearch provides customized part identification, fulfillment, logistics and management solutions. The company has created an industry standard master parts catalog with over 7 million unique parts, and a parts-specific virtual supply chain across hundreds of major brands and multiple product categories.

NSA is a national service provider and application developer that provides manufacturers, retailers, call centers, and service contract administrators with innovative systems for managing large field service networks. NSA connects diverse independent service providers throughout the U.S. into a common system that enables its clients to dispatch service calls, and give visibility to the live status of repairs throughout the entire repair cycle.
