NEW YORK — The aftermath of International CES also laid the ground for a number of new cases for MP3 players.
ifrogz announced at International CES, held last month, that it is now offering its silicone iPod cases in multi-packs that provide iPod users with 30 different cases in one package.
Each ifrogz multi-pack iPod case comes with one of the company's Wrapz, three Bandz and 10 removable Screenz. In addition, each multi-pack's assortment will be grouped around a particular theme, such as "urban," "girlie" or "hippie." The multi-packs are currently available for a $34.99 suggested retail.
ifrogz cases are designed to provide three distinct components for total protection — and complete color customization — of an iPod. The company claims that it uses only 100 percent polished silicone that has been specially treated to resist dust and dirt, making the case smooth and silky to the touch as well as thick and durable.
ifrogz also announced at CES that it is now bundling its Tadpole video iPod case for kids with child-sized headphones, and it is also now offering instructions online for parents who wish to set volume controls that will restrict how high the iPod's volume can be raised.
The cases are engineered with two large handles that are designed to help children maintain a solid grip on the iPod and provide additional protection for the device. The case measures 5.5 inches wide, 4.25 inches high and 0.75 inches thick, and it weighs 2.7 ounces. It has a $34.99 suggested retail.
