PRO Group Inks Warrantech For Service Contracts

NORTHBROOK, ILL. — The Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group) has selected Warrantech Consumer Product Services as a "preferred provider" of extended service contracts for the $2.5 billion buying group.

"We are extremely pleased to have Warrantech join the premier group of preferred providers to the PRO Group," said Dave Workman, executive director of PRO Group. "In retail it is absolutely necessary to offer services that support the customers after the sale, build brand loyalty and increase profits for our membership, and Warrantech provides PRO Group members the ability to do all of these through our new extended-service contract program."

The partnership represents a reunion of sorts for Workman and Warrantech. Workman was named president of the company's consumer product services division in December 2005 after joining the business as marketing senior VP in July. He left Warrantech in January 2006 to serve as executive director of the MARTA Cooperative America, and assumed his present post in February.
