VXI Ships Bluetooth Headset, USB Accessory

Rollinsford, N.H. — VXI Corporation has introduced its BlueParrot B200 Bluetooth wireless headset and the separately sold B200 USB cord accessory.
The company said that the combination of products will give users a complete wireless headset solution that will allow them to move easily between private branch exchange (PBX) phones, to IP phones to a PC softphone and even a cellular phone.
The BlueParrot B200 base plugs into a telephone handset or headset port and provides wireless communication with the included headset for up to 75 feet via Bluetooth technology. The headset features a “professional quality” noise canceling microphone and has 128 Bit digital encryption for privacy.
It offers up to six hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time and has controls for volume, on/off, pairing and mute functions. It is compatible with Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98SE and Macintosh OS 9.1 and higher.
To communicate over the computer for IP or softphone calling, users must connect the BlueParrot device with the B200 USB cord accessory.
The headset and the USB cord have suggested retail prices of $199 and $59.99 respectively. Both products are backed by the company's two-year warranty.
