Irvine, Calif.— In an attempt to jump-start the holiday shopping season, Gateway rolled out a new line of eMachines-branded PCs and LCD monitors.

The three-SKU PC line consists of the T5212, T5048 and the T3516.

The T5212, $519 after $50 rebate, features an Intel Pentium D 805 processor, ATI Radeon Xpress 200 with Radeon X300 integrated graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, 200 GB hard drive, a dual format/double layer DVD burner, 5.1 audio, five USB ports and it is Microsoft Vista Premium ready.

The T5048, $399 after rebate, uses a Pentium 4 524 processor and has 512MB of DDR2 memory, 160GB hard drive and is Vista ready, but comes with Media Center Edition 2005.

The entry-level T3516, $349 after $50 rebate, is powered by a Celeron D 352 processor and drops the DVD burner for a DVD/CD-RW drive and has a smaller 120GB hard drive.

The new display products are the E19T5W 19W-inch, E17T4 17-inch and E15T4 15-inch LCD monitors. Pricing, after $50 rebate, starts at $219 and goes down to $169. The E19T5W can support HD 720p with HDCP and has a DVI-D input. The latter two models feature a 1,280 by 1,024 screen resolution.
