Ultralink's Brings New Line Of Cable, Power Products To CEDIA

By Colleen Bohen -- TWICE, 9/25/2006

DENVER — Ultralink, an Ontario, Calif.-based manufacturer of A/V interconnects, cables and power products, introduced a spate of new products at CEDIA 2006, held here earlier this month.

Among the products launched were the company's CS1 Series and Challenger-2 Series of cables. The CS1 is a an entry level line of audio and video cables that is available for both analog and digital formats. The Challenger-2 line is an update of the company's original next level Challenger line. The Challenger-2 series of analog and digital cables feature new metal connectors and are packaged in a clamshell for retail or in bulk packs for installers.

Ultralink also used CEDIA to showcase its new UltraPower PS-1060i and UltraPower PS-1040i power conditioners. Both feature the company's patented Active Surge Processor which is designed to monitor steady state power conditions and automatically disconnect HT components from AC power upon sensing unsafe voltage conditions. Both models also use broad and narrow bandwidth filters for noise elimination. The Ps-1060i features a 12V remote DC trigger to control an entire home control theater system with a simple one-touch On/Off remote control.

The products come with a lifetime warranty and a 5-year/$250,000 connected equipment protection policy. Both are expected to ship soon with suggested retail prices of $149.95 for the PS-1060i and $99.95 for the PS-1040i.

Ultralink's Contractor Series is a full range of CL rated in-wall cabling featuring tool-free Push-Lock connector technology. The Push-Lock connectors, which eliminate the need for compression or soldering tools, are available in Nickel-plated or Gold-plated finishes.
