Milwaukee — Koss Corporation has introduced the Cobalt, a multifunction wireless Bluetooth stereophone that can be used with a Bluetooth-enabled phone or as a headset for a computer, CD, DVD or MP3 player.
The company says the product is designed to provide interface-free audio for up to a 30-foot range, allowing users to move freely while talking on the phone or listening to music or movies. To use as a stereophone, users simply don the Cobalt and plug the included transmitter into a computer, CD, DVD or MP3 player. The headset features a behind-the-head design and foam ear cushions for comfort during long listening times.
The product's Lithium Ion battery is estimated to last about eight hours. On occasions when users are planning on using the set while sitting at a computer, a USB dongle transmitter allows them to plug directly into their computer to save power.
The headset is collapsible for storage and travel and it features push-button volume controls to make adjusting the sound easy.
The package includes the Bluetooth stereophone, audio transmitter and USB audio dongle as well as a USB charging cable, AC charging adapter, and audio extension cable. The Cobalt is available now at a suggested retail price of $179.99 and is covered under the manufacturer's No-Questions-Asked Lifetime Warranty.
