HARRISBURG, PA. — D&H Distributing will draw more than 60 manufacturers and close to 700 reseller and dealer representatives nationwide at its Digital Convergence Expo to be held July 13 at the Radisson Penn Harris Hotel and Convention Center in Camp Hill, Pa., near here. Intel will present one of its first Viiv technology seminars at the show on Viiv's 1.5 update features. Registration is free for dealers, integrators, resellers and custom installers. D&H customers are privy to special one-day-only, exhibit-floor pricing, the distributor said. Westinghouse Expands Almo's Distribution Pact

PHILADELPHIA — Westinghouse Digital Electronics, a supplier of LCD display screens, has expanded distributor Almo's distribution agreement to include the pro A/V market targeting the system integrator and digital signage channels. Todd Moffett, national sales manager for pro A/V-IT for Westinghouse Digital, said, “This series of Westinghouse products for the pro A/V market enables the ability to 'talk' to a display from a remote location and provides the system integrator and content provider with the latest technology to enhance the public viewing experience.” The companies said that the initial Westinghouse rollout at Almo in the third quarter includes 27W-inch, 32W-inch and 42W-inch professional LCD TVs. The RS232 connector will be built into these displays' boards with additional hardware and software, enabling system integrators and content providers to deliver specific content and control the viewing experience in order to create a specific response, Almo said.

Separately, Almo has embarked on a four-month CE open house tour that kicked off June 6 in Milwaukee, and will conclude Sept. 14 in Raleigh, N.C. The tour, which is expected to draw 1,100 retailers, features product demonstrations, training seminars, vendor presentations and “show special” discounts. President Warren Chaiken said the success of last year's open houses prompted Almo to double the schedule and add more vendor training sessions.
