Xantrex Intros Home Office Backup Power Solution

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/10/2006

Vancouver, British Columbia — The “perfect” power solution, with extended run time, is debuting for the small office/home office market from Xantrex Technology.

The new product in a new category for the XPower by Xantrex line of power products, called PowerSource 400, is a stand-alone power solution that can provide up to eight hours of uninterrupted electricity during a power failure, which usually averages three to four hours.

The XPower product will support a laptop computer, Internet modem, inkjet printer, cordless phone, small light source and any other essential small- or home-office device.

The PowerSource 400 is permanently connected to a wall outlet and up to five electronic devices can be plugged into the unit. When the power goes out, the 400 seamlessly switches to backup power, allowing continuous operation of the connected electronic devices.

At a suggested $199.99 retail, the 400 had been scheduled for March availability.
