Sony Adds New T-Series Cyber-shot

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/10/2006

San Diego, Calif. — Sony added another model to its compact T-series of Cyber-shot digital still cameras, the 7-megapixel DSC-T30.

The T30 is the company's second slim-line model to incorporate Sony's answer to image blur: a combination of optical image stabilization and light sensitivities to ISO 1000.

The T30 features a 3x optical zoom lens, 3-inch LCD screen, 10 preset scene modes and a burst mode of 5 full resolution shots at 1.1 frames per second (fps). In VGA resolution the camera can capture 100 shots at 1.3 fps.

The camera saves stills and video to 58MB of internal memory or Memory Stick DUO cards. It will ship in May for an estimated $500.
