Ease Of Use Supports Charger Intro

By Staff -- TWICE, 4/10/2006

Orlando, Fla. — Said to be the first charger of its type that is “simple and easy to use,” the Promaster XtraPower universal digital camera battery charger from the Photographic Research Organization (PRO) has no need for charging plates or complicated flip-up devices.

The charger has the ability to adjust for both battery size and contact position in just seconds, allowing it to easily charge most 3.6-volt and 7.6-volt digital camera, cellular phone or PDA batteries.

The XtraPower smart rapid-charging circuitry charges the typical lithium-ion digital camera battery to usable capacity in just over an hour, while prolonging battery life, said Promaster.

Additional features include automatic detection of battery voltage and polarity, a fully adjustable fit for most lithium-ion batteries, smart battery-charging indicator bar and international power compatibility of 100 volts to 240 volts AC.

The unit was scheduled for March availability at a suggested retail range of $49 to $69.
