Dave Workman, former president/CEO of Ultimate Electronics and a prior board member of the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO) Group, has been hired by PRO as its new executive director. Workman replaces Roger Heuberger, who left PRO earlier this month was president, executive director, COO and CEO. (For more see www.TWICE.com.) ... Michael Neuman, EchoStar's president, has left the company after seven months in the position. The reason for his departure was not disclosed. Neuman's responsibilities will be assumed by Carl Vogel, vice chairman and former president, and Michael Dugan, chief technical officer and former president/COO ... Michael O'Neal, CEO of Philips Accessories, is leaving the company to become CEO of Team Products International, based in Mountain Lakes, N.J. O'Neal joined Gemini Accessories, which was acquired by Philips in September 2004 and then was renamed, as president/CEO in 1999. He will leave the company officially by March 3. Replacing O'Neal as CEO will be Glenn McIlmail, who is currently operations executive VP. He joined the former Gemini Accessories operation in March 1997 ... Glenn Gentilin, an audio industry veteran and most recently owner of custom installation company Acoustic Architecture, and Jeff Wagner, most recently technical training manager for Best Buy, have joined Universal remote Control as technical training managers. And as previously reported, Jon Sienkiewicz, a 30-year Minolta veteran, has joined the company as marketing director ... Mitch McCoy promoted to marketing VP at master agent American Wireless, where Bruce Hallinan has been promoted to prepaid services VP … Frank Sterns named president of Niles Audio, succeeding company founder Ivan Zuckerman, who left the company in July 2005 after its sale to Linear. Sterns will report directly to Linear Chairman/CEO Grant RummellJordan Brand named art director at SpeakerCraft … Jonathan Magasanik, former Staples exec, joins Tweeter as audio and car VP/general merchandising manager, succeeding Dan Jeancola, who left the company ... Mike Snell has been named CEO of Vonage. Founder and former CEOJeffery Citron has been promoted chairman and chief strategist ... John Schlenner, an 18-year veteran of Sears who was most recently consumer electronics VP, joins New England-based Bernie's Audio Video as merchandising appliances VP.
