Ann Shachtman, founder/president of NOW! AudioVideo, was elected to the board of the Progressive Retailers Organization (PRO Group), succeeding Magnolia Hi-Fi president Jim Tweten.Loren Jensen, RadioShack finance VP, named acting CFO, replacing Dwain Hughes, 53, who died in late January following a brief illness. Also at RadioShack, Lou Provost, executive division VP/sales channels, will run the dealer/franchise division, RadioShack.com, catalog sales and commercial sales; Larry Harris and Keith Lashley have been promoted to division VPs of merchandising; and Mark Hullinger named division VP of leasing, real estate services.Linda Goodspeed left post as general manager of GE Appliances to assume the presidency of PartMiner Inc., an online procurement business. No successor at GE has been named.Stephen DeFuria, consultant to NAD Electronics of America, joins the company as national sales manager, replacing Greg Stidsen, recently appointed product planning director.Michael Smith, former managing director of Mesirow Financial, joins Cobra Electronics as senior VP/chief financial officer.Rudolf Vitti named national marketing manager of Panasonic Consumer Electronics' Consumer DVD Division. Reid Sullivan becomes general manager of Panasonic's Portable Audio/HES Division.Roger K. Scholten, former corporate development VP of Maytag, named senior VP and general counsel, replacing Fredrick G. Wohlschlaeger, who has resigned.Kathy Curtin Young, most recently with Data General, joins SanDisk Corp. as president of worldwide procurement.
