Panasonic Launches Amplifiers

SECAUCUS, NJ — Panasonic is launching its first line of 12-volt amplifiers since 1999. The series includes three new models designed to work with OEM and after-market radios.

The line leads with the CY-PA2003. It is rated at 200x2 watts RMS at 4 ohms with a suggested retail price of $179.95, and a four-channel version at the same price. This is joined by a digital mono amplifier at 1100 watts called the CY-PAD1003U at $249.95. All are expected to ship in March.

New Remote Starter Ships From Astroflex

QUEBEC — Astroflex is shipping a new remote starter with a downsized key ring remote transmitter with a 2,000 foot range. The single button remote is designed for drivers who already have a large factory key for keyless entry and who don't want a second bulky item on their key ring. The Model 701XR will operate with diesel and standard transmission cars when used with an optional kit. The unit will ship this month at $139 uninstalled.
