Targus Gearing Up With Executive Storage

Anaheim, Calif.— Targus is introducing its new Global Executive collection, an up-scale line of cases “complete with a suite of features, functionality and reliability for the executive traveler,” said the company.

Employing “sophisticated styling and innovative design,” the four models include the Global Executive backpack, the Global Executive case, the Global Executive Deluxe case and the Global Executive Universal case.

Designed to handle notebook computers and accessories, the cases also have a place for an MP3 player. The company said these are a first of its kind to unite original specialty items, such as a retractable blue light, hidden water-bottle holder and retractable airline ticket/passport holder with removable CD/DVD sleeve and accessory pouch.

The line also highlights a top-loading compartment for ease of notebook access, ergonomically-designed handles and shoulder straps and easy-grip zipper pulls.

Target employs its Dome Protection System of layered, shock-absorbing circles which are inserted into the walls of the notebook case to disperse weight and minimize side impact pressure. The system diverts external force toward the edges of the notebook, which is stronger, and away from the delicate LCD display.

The Global Executive backpack has a top-loading design for notebooks with up to 15.4-inch screens. Suggested retail is $89.99.

The Global Executive case also takes notebooks up to 15.4 inches and includes a deluxe workstation pocket that comes with six-slot CD/DVD sleeve. Suggested retail is $99.99.

The Global Executive Deluxe case includes the same features as the Executive case, plus an extra zipper-pull file compartment. Suggested retail is $109.99.

The Global Executive Universal case builds on the Executive Deluxe with an expandable nyflex-lined compartment for storing an extra notebook or projector. Suggested retail is $129.99.
