Pat Lavelle, an executive with Audiovox Corp. since 1980, has been named president/CEO, effective immediately. John Shalam, founder of Audiovox, will remain chairman and "will continue to play a major role in setting and executing the company's strategic vision," according to a prepared statement. In addition to his new role, Lavelle will continue to serve as president/CEO of Audiovox Electronics Corporation (AEC), the company's wholly owned subsidiary. Lavelle is also vice chairman on the board of the Consumer Electronics Association…Joan Chow was promoted to senior VP/chief marketing officer for Sears Retail, reporting to Luis Padilla, merchandising and marketing president…Jeff Haagenstaad, Novar ex-chief technical officer, has been named Niles Audio's engineering VP…QVC's executive VP Randy Ronning has been given the additional title of chief merchandising officer, with responsibility for merchandising and brand development at QVC and QVC.com…Best Buy has promoted Tim McGeehan to retail sales executive FP. He succeeds Brian Dunn, who was named president/retail - North America last December…Memorex Products has named several executives recruited from top competitors to expand their global sales force. Al Day, former Fuji Photo Film sales executive, joins the company as U.S. eastern region sales director. TDK Electronics' sales veteran Adrian Delgado joins Memorex as Latin America sales director. Andrew Mendygral, a former Polaroid sales executive, becomes U.S. central region sales director. And Brian Peterson, a Maxell of Canada and Sony of Canada veteran, comes on board as Canadian sales director…Randy Bingham, ex-Carver Digital and Sunfire, joins Krell Industries as a sales associate…Brad Pearse, former Ultimate Electronics sales manager, joins OmniMount Systems as consumer products sales manager
