Ken Arakinamed president of Onkyo USA, replacing Kevin Miyagi, who has recently transferred to Germany with overall responsibility for Onkyo Europe. Araki was manager of U.S and Europe sales at Onkyo corporate headquarters in Osaka, Japan … Doug Kelly, appliance merchandising director at P.C. Richard & Son, has left the company after eight years to become operations executive VP of premium majap distributor HADCO in January. He was succeeded by P.C. Richard majap merchant Alex Pilgrim, while Kelly's designer appliance duties were assumed by Rick Torre, who will continue to oversee the builders' channel … Sears' president and chief merchant Luis Padillahas left the chain after one year in that role. No successor was named. Parent company Sears Holdings has also hired Maureen McGuire as executive VP and chief marketing officer, and Corwin Yulinsky as customer strategy and insight executive VP, both new positions ... John Wilkerson, executive VP/COO of Bernie's, has left the New England CE-majap chain after six years. No successor has been named … Herbert Becker, former merchandising director at La Curacao, named president/CEO of Magicweb, a provider of IPTV technology … Martin Lee, formerly marketing VP at Olympus, has been named to the new position of marketing senior VP for Sirius ... Dan Halaburda, former sales and marketing exec with GoVideo and Panasonic, joins DBL Distributing as key account sales director ... Steve Colburn, a 25-year veteran of the home theater industry, joins Triad Speakers as dealer support manager ... Mark Weisenberg, ex-Integra national sales director, named Sunfire GM ... Rod Haden named sales VP at Roku … John Johasky, former global sales and marketing senior VP at Equitrac, joins Samsung Information Technology Division as marketing VP, while Andrew Weis, ex-BenQ product manager for LCD displays, joins the division as product marketing manager for displays ... Thomas Nolan, ex-senior marketing and product management positions at Energizer Holdings, joins GPX as marketing/product management director ... Najmi Jarwala, ex-AT&T Wireless, named president of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications for the North America region … Blanca Johnson Lagares joins Directed Electronics as sales administration director … Barry Kasarda named supply chain planning VP of SanDisk. The company also hired Milo Azarmsa into the newly created position of operations finance VP … Anthony Boor was promoted to executive VP/chief financial officer of Brightpoint, succeeding Frank Terence who left the position in June following a stroke … Amir Golshan joins GERS Retail Systems as multichannel commerce VP/general manager and Bob Tuttle, ex-IBM, joins GERS Retail Systems as sales VP ... Kim Welty, ex-marketing director for Monster Cable, joins Niles Audio as marketing director, a new post … Patrick Morley named sales and marketing executive VP Corel Corporation … Peter Cholnoky, founder of separate software and Web services companies, named CEO of music server maker ReQuest … Gregg Appliances' chief financial officer Michael Stout was promoted to chief administrative officer, responsible for company operations. Succeeding him is Don Van der Wiel, who joined Gregg from restaurant operator Buffets Holdings … Industry veteran Ed Hickert joins Textron Financial as national accounts senior VP … Dennis G. Schultz, formerly of HP, appointed business development VP of Partsearch Technologies.
