NARDA Soliciting Dealer Assistance

By Staff -- TWICE, 10/24/2005

Lombard, Ill.— The North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA) is seeking assistance for members affected by Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. They include:

Garey Alima, A-1 Home Appliance, 1925 Industrial Blvd., Harvey, LA 70058; cell: (504) 650-1832; business: (504) 341-9999; e-mail: garey@a1louisiana.com

Four of A-1's stores remain closed indefinitely, NARDA reported, and the company requires warehouse staff, service technicians and sales people.

Cicero La Hatte, Wells & La Hatte, 919 Clay St., Vicksburg, MS 39183; cell: (601) 259-6809; business: (601) 636-5806; e-mail: wl@netdoor.com

La Hatte requires service technicians.

Gerry McCann, McCann Electronics, 100 Division St., Metairie, LA, 70001; business: (800) 473-7270, ext 134; e-mail: gmccann@mccann1.com

McCann requires expert or peer consulting on a volunteer basis.

Due to the overwhelming volume of calls received by storm-impacted dealers from concerned peers and well wishers, NARDA requests that the phone and e-mail contact information be used to provide requested resources only.

Businesses can add their names and requests to the list by calling NARDA at (800) 621-0298.
