Gentec Puts More Roots Into Bag Biz

Markham, Ontario — Gentec International is adding neoprene cases to its Roots storage bags and cases for availability this month. The line is designed specifically for the newest portable music players, including all versions of the iPod.

Roots neoprene MP3 player case, called the A7, for iPod, Samsung, Toshiba and Creative Labs, has a suggested $9.95 retail. The A10, for iPod mini, Samsung, BenQ, Rio and RCA, has a suggested $14.95 retail. The company's A11, at $12.95, is made for Sony, RCA, Ice Audio and Creative Labs products.

Shared features include neoprene construction that provides maximum style and protection for people on the go, zippered compartment with a “unique” headphone interface that allows connection of headphone through the front of the case, interior pocket that holds memory cards or batteries for the larger cases, mesh pocket to hold portable music player securely in place, and a belt loop and removable elastic arm band.
