Entertainment Furniture Gaining Wide Attention

By Jeff Malester -- TWICE, 10/10/2005

The selection of home entertainment furniture and correlative accessories available to consumer electronics retailers has become all-encompassing — stretching the limits of consumers' imaginations.

Currently, the booming CE furniture category ranges from A/V and DVD/CD racks, speaker brackets and stands, TV stands, and entertainment centers, to a variety of home theater, leather and massage seating.

No home setting is too small or too large not to be able to include some products in the many CE furniture sub-categories that are coming to market, makers agreed. A simple and stylish table can support a single TV, while a complete theater set-up can accommodate numerous viewers in a home venue that compares favorably with commercial motion picture houses.

At first the domain of retail specialists, CE furniture more recently has become a major player for installers and mass market locations. To this end, examples of the finest products have become prominent at such show venues as CEDIA and the International Home Furnishings Mart.

The following product photo lineup, which only touches the fringes of current availability, brings to life what might be found in the marketplace this coming holiday season.
