Indianapolis — Energizer is entering the iPod market with ER-i25, which combines a 30-hour external battery of 5 volts and 2100mAh and iPod into a “practical, yet chic” silicone gel case.
The ER-i25, developed by Technuity, the exclusive North American licensee for the Energizer-brand rechargeable battery packs, combines the battery and iPod for extra protection while powering, playing and charging. The case also comes with a removable belt clip and easy-cord management system.
The battery connects to the iPod using the USB connector included with most iPods, and can be charged from any AC outlet or computer using the USB power adapter. Suggested ER-i25 retail is $49.99, and the unit is scheduled for an October launch.
