Energizer e² Lithium AAA Cells Move Into Marketplace

By Staff -- TWICE, 9/26/2005

St. Louis — Energizer has introduced its e2 lithium AAA batteries to go along with its sister AA size. Called the “world's longest-lasting AAA batteries in high-tech devices,” the cells are said to last up to seven times longer in digital cameras, compared with ordinary alkaline batteries.

An MP3 player powered by Energizer e2 lithium AAA batteries can last up to 4.5 hours longer vs. the alkaline cell. In conditions where alkaline batteries would fail, the Energizer cells continue to operate in temperatures that range from -40 degrees F. to 140 degrees F.

The Energizer e2 lithium AAA batteries come in re-closeable packaging for convenient storage and travel, and are engineered with leak-resistant construction. Tracked retails for a four-pack of Energizer e2 lithium AA cells average $10.12. A four-pack of e2 AAA has been tracked at an average of $9.60 retail.
