Duracell Launches Rechargeable Battery Line

-- TWICE, 9/26/2005

Bethel, Conn. — To meet the growing demands of high-drain devices, such as digital cameras, Duracell is adding to its rechargeable battery lineup with nickel metal-hydride (NiMH) cells that include 2500mAh AA and 900mAh AAA batteries.

The new products include Duracell's highest capacity rechargeable AA and AAA cells ever, said the company, making a significant enhancement to the existing line.

These premium cells are the first to feature new packaging for Duracell rechargeable products. Packaging is designed to enhance the shopping experience by alleviating consumer confusion. Each pack includes easily recognizable device graphics, color cues and clear messages to help shoppers quickly and easily choose power options that best suit their needs.

Duracell's 2500mAh and 900mAh rechargeable batteries are available in two-, four- and eight-cell packs. Suggested retails for four-packs range from $9.99 to $13.99. Shipping is in September.
